The UK’s largest fresh produce market

This organization was set up in 1961 as a statutory body to own and operate the UK’s largest fresh produce market. The organization provides essential services such as the management, supervision and security of the site, heating, electricity, cleaning, refuse disposal and maintenance of buildings and roads. The organization also handles the letting of trading premises and offices to tenants.

Their existing IT systems and business processes were not standardized and many were legacy.  They needed an IT solution to support a major organizational restructuring of the market to enable an aggressive modernization plan to secure its future.

Sciamus designed and managed a root and branch overhaul of the market’s entire IT Infrastructure, including implementing a new network to provide high performance and resilience to a range of new systems and IT processes which helped drive the markets transformational change.

A leading high street Bank

The bank had in place Oracle Workflow to manage some of its key financial processes. However, severe performance issues were creating operational difficulties.

Sciamus was able to identify the technical reasons for these problems and immediately provided short-term solutions as well as recommending a series of strategic measures to avoid a repetition of the problem.

Additionally, when the bank looked to upgrade Oracle Workflow to a later version, it encountered a number of errors in the testing phase.

Sciamus identified the root causes for these errors, highlighted where remedial action was required and recommended a series of activities to address those issues.
